Pet Sliding Door Installation

Installing a sliding glass dog door means you ll be inserting a panel into an existing sliding door track.

1 x 3 or 4 velcro loop. There are 2 measurements that you ll need here. Place the template in the desired location on the door at least 3 inches above the bottom edge of the door. Attach to the bottom or middle panel of the pop up pet door nearest the sliding door frame.

To install a dog sliding door first measure the sliding track. No more squeezing through a 9inch slot to get to the patio. If your pet door doesn t include a template use the plastic slide as a template. You can measure this from the inside of the upper track to the inside of the lower one.

Watch the installation video. A regular hollow core door is the easiest to install a pet door in and the complexity increases with different designs and materials such as metal solid and panel doors. Then attach the 1 x 3 or 4 hook in the groove of the frame. Those measurements should be based on the flap dimension not the pet door frame.

Firstly the height of the track. Install the lock glass sweep and weather stripping. Cut out the template as instructed. The best thing to do is to measure your pet and know exactly the measurements you need.

Slide the insert into the sliding door frame. Every door is different so it s important to consider ease of installation when selecting which door you want to install the doggie door in. Lock the height adjuster and secure the insert. 2 5 removable piece on the side that creates an opening for the screen door latch.

Most pet doors include a template for placement. The new panel features glass on top and a pet door flap at the bottom. Not too many places make these doors and aj was the best price of the ones i considered doing business with. The door is awesome but even better is having full use of the sliding glass door where the old panel dog door was.

Then line them up and attach them to each other.
