This can sometimes manifest as an intermittent fault which then grows over time to a complete failure. Seems odd to me that all three doors have to be fixed. The single and 2 lock system is to unlock the car from outside. Hi all thanks for the great advise on this site.

I think it can be changed under the vehicle set up menu find the 2 stage locking and change it too the single unlock i do think. I ve just replaced my drivers door latch on my disco 300tdi mar95 as it would only open if the lock was pulled up from the inside as you pull the handle or the the key turned to full unlock from the outside. Unfortunately over time the locking mechanisms begin to wear out and may no longer be capable of either locking or unlocking the doors of the vehicle. The only way to open them is reach over and pull the latch.
